James Elliott, who has 20 years of experience in the field, founded Northern Lights Home Improvements.

James wants to give you a high-quality service, starting with a consultation where he or a team member listens to your needs and establishes them in order to give you a good product at a price that is affordable.

Giving you the assurance that the installation is done to a high degree by our own joiners allows us to proudly deliver a wonderful fitted product at the best price possible.

Northern Lights has a fantastic team which is made up of friendly professionals who will work with you to ensure that we get your vision for your home right. We take all aspects of the process seriously so from the initial quote through to aftercare, we will be there to help. If you have any issues, there will always be someone available to help.

Phil Kyle

Phil started with Northern Lights in 2020, a family man from Westhill with 4 children including twins, hobbies include golf, eating out & spending time with his family, Phil has a wealth of knowledge gained over 9 years working in the industry.

John McKendrick

John has been with Northern Lights for over 2 years now. He has recently became a father for the first time, lives in Macduff and has worked in the industry for 7 years. John is very out going and loves meeting people, he also likes to socialise and spend time with his boy Taylor.

Alan Morrison

Alan started working for us 2021 and comes with extensive experience having worked in the industry for 26 years working for some of the biggest companies in the industry. Alan is a loving family man who lives in Newmachar and loves to go out socialising and spending time with his family.

Arthur Rimars

Arthur is our newest employee, he has just became a father for the first time and lives with his fiancee near Strichen. Arthur is originally from Latvia and has spent many years in Scotland., his English is exceptional and he has a wonderful manner to go with it. Arthur's enthusiasm and willingness to learn has already impressed the team.

Had my utility roof replaced on 6th June 2022. Excellent professional work carried out by the guys, non-stop workers for 10 hours and completed the work in 1 day.

We are delighted with the new garage door. 1st class product & excellent installation. Thanks to Kevin for a superb job from survey to completion.

Arranged a replacement flat roof for our garage, initial quote and timings were adhered to, roof felt, tar and chipboard all stripped and replaced with new chip board, rubber membrane, lead flashing, and uPVC trims. Job completed in 2 days. Site was left cleared and tidy on Completion of the job. Very pleased with the finished job, guys were efficient and completed a very professional job. I have no hesitation in recommending for anyone considering roof replacement.

I Initially had a concern about the window before the job was completed. I discussed it with the joiner and it was rectified. It all went smoothly and I was very happy with finished job. They cleaned up and removed the old window even took the broken old bind.

Really impressed with the work done by Northern Lights. We had our old wooden roofline replaced with new uPVC. From inquiring to fitting they were very helpful and professional.

We recently had our Fascias, Soffits & Guttering replaced by Northern Lights and couldn't be happier with the result! Jim was the fitter and was careful to ensure I knew what was happening throughout the work. His friendly & professional manner was only bettered by the quality of his work! Jim always gave that little bit more to ensure the work was 100% and that I was completely happy. Northern Lights may not be the cheapest option, but in my opinion must be the best!

An excellent job done from the guys converting a single door to double French doors and will definitely use Northern Lights again.

Having previously wasted good money on a botched felt flat roof replacement several years ago I decided to have it replaced by Northern Lights Home improvements. The result is like chalk and cheese not only does the new EDPM look good, but it was also done professionally by a team who know what they are doing. The new roof looks stunning in comparison to the old one. I can recommend them for their service and professional attitude.
